I am a Grandma now...therefore, it is not a silly investment to purchase a bubble machine....

Royce thought it was a wacky thing to buy...but I knew that it would cause such a wonderful reaction. I actually find it quite enjoyable myself....to sit amidst swirling bubbles. It's a great way to feel like a kid again.

Heavy use of Gauzy Glow....on purpose....

I can't help going crazy with that "glowy" setting when editing my photos. When I think of Cambria, "gauzy-glow" comes to mind. I sat on the beach with Royce for nearly 2 hours on Saturday and felt all the stresses of everyday life just fall away. It would be a dream come true for me to one day wake up and find out that the man that runs the Bed and Breakfast we stay at when we go to Cambria decided to Will and Bequeath his adorable home to me simply because he knew deep in his heart how much I deserve it...haha...because I would appreciate it so much more than anyone else in the world. That's a dream alright. He'd probably never let me stay there again if he knew how much Royce and I discuss this behind his back as we munch down his delicious gourmet breakfast and stroll through his Eden-like backyard....he probably has spoiled rotten children who will inherit the place and want to sell it to make their millions. He could do us all a favor and just leave it to me................

Ralph Waldo Emerson:

"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful, for beauty is God's handwriting - - a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing."

A rainbow I "caught" while watering the plants today...

It's Sweet Pea time!!! "Thank You" to Royce who brought me a bouquet from a roadside stand..! Love them!

"Sweet Peas, on tiptoe for a flight,
With wings of gentle flush, o'er delicate white."

It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning,
a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking
at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not
what.

- The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy

My favorite "Irish Cream" rose...

Leslie's Anatomy Class Assignment...

What could be yummier than a Kidney Tubule made from a giant 12 inch chocolate chip cookie and covered with rice krispie treat "cells"?.....mmmmm! That had to make for a fun buffet after the teacher gave each student their grade and let them share their creations.....ugh. Leslie worked hard though and got an "A". And I must admit it's the nicest kidney tubule I've ever seen.

Awww...such a cute Li'l Slugger....

Sean in mid-air out in Right Field....

Sean taking a swig of Gatoraid...

I do believe this is the only reason he likes the idea of playing baseball...he hates the pants, he hates to get hot, he hates to run...but he loooooves Gatoraid.

When we are mindful of every nuance of our natural world, we finally get the picture: that we are only given one dazzling moment of life here on Earth, and we must stand before that reality both humbled and elevated, subject to every law of our universe and grateful for our brief but intrinsic participation with it.

(From her biography ofnaturalist Eustace Conway.)-- Elizabeth Gilbert

A childlike man is not a man whose development has been arrested; on the contrary, he is a man who has given himself a chance of continuing to develop long after most adults have muffled themselves in the cocoon of middle aged habit and convention.

"Finish each day and be done with it . . . You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it well and serenely."
