Great Quote by Margaret D. Nadauld:

“Woman of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough, we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse, we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude, we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune, we need women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity.”

Impromtu Family Photo....

I see now how much taller my son is than me. Obviously, I knew he was taller but in the photo I see the difference in our height....amazing to me that he's grown so much. We had a good day all together at my mom and dad's. I hope you all had a nice Easter Day! Posted by Picasa

You Belong in Amsterdam

A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.
Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

The doves in my backyard today...

I keep an iron statuette of a dove on this particular rock out in my backyard...it's a leftover from Christi's wedding reception decor....today I looked out and saw at least 4 other real doves congregating with the "dove of steel" in the middle. So cute!
"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary
ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong
end of a telescope and that enables you to laugh at life's realities."

Theodore Geisel/Dr. Seuss

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY

There is a sense of exhilaration that comes from facing head-on the
hard truths and saying, "We will never give up. We will never
capitulate. It might take a long time, but we will find a way to
prevail."

-- Jim Collins, from his book, Good to Great
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because
he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears,
however measured or faraway." - Henry David Thoreau

I want to be young again...

i just found this picture last night. It was of me and Leslie at a Mother's Day Luncheon at her school. Taken in May of 1995....it feels like a century ago...and I want long hair again. Am I too old for long hair? Posted by Picasa

Which Conference talk did you like best?

Just a question for all my Mormon friends....I loved Elder Holland's talk. It was just what i needed. Pres. Hinckley was cute when he said that his talk shouldn't be considered an obituary...even though that's what I was thinking the whole time he was talking. But, sadly, I always wonder if this is the last time we will see him speak at conference. I adore him. The weather looked good in SLC....so...is it as perfect as it looked Sarita and Jess? Love you guys!
